Accessing Domestic Assistance Services for Aged Care & Disability

There are a few ways to fund domestic assistance services for those living with a disability or in aged care.

Home Care Package

Home Care Packages is a funded package of services by the Australian government that is designed to help seniors and those living with a disability live independently in their own homes for longer. If you have Home Care Packages, you can use some or all of your funding to pay for home care and aged care services.

National Disability Insurance Scheme

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a government-funded program that provides financial assistance for those living with a disability. It helps people with the costs of living and participating in the community. You can use some or all of your NDIS funds to pay for home care services if you have a plan.

Private Funding

If you’re not eligible for a Home Care Package or NDIS funding, you can pay for domestic assistance services privately. The cost will depend on the services you need and how often you need them.

Commonwealth Home Support Programme

The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) is a government-funded program that provides services to seniors who need a little extra help to live independently.
